Wat Arun - Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan or Wat Arun is a Buddhist temple in Bangkok Yai district of Bangkok, Thailand, on the Thonburi west bank of the Chao Phraya River. The temple derives its name from the Hindu god Aruna, often personified as the radiations of the rising sun, built by RAMA II of Siam the structure was completed sometime in the 17th century. 

the design and intricate details are incredible, but since some renovation work was going on, the whole structure stood out like a sore thumb. still managed to get a few decent photos despite the gloomy weather.
